Reports to: IT Administrator
Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 5:15pmPosition Purpose: Responsible for customizing third party software to ensure that the Credit Union’s information needs are met. Works closely with users. Reviews and monitors systems and applications’ capabilities and department needs. Installs, modifies, enhances, and customizes the Credit Union’s operating systems. Performs a variety of complex programming tasks. Assists programming and operating staff as needed. Coordinates with management to establish and implement programming goals and objectives. Note: Bank Secrecy Act knowledge will be determined b y position and responsibility.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
Assumes responsibility for effectively customizing third party software to meet the Credit Union’s information needs.
Serve as back-up and/or assistant to effectively manage the internal helpdesk system to ensure requests are resolved and responded to appropriately.
Serve as secondary liaison between the Credit Union and strategic IT business partners in resolving technical issues.
Support, maintain, and analyze the Symitar core system application, to include implementing enhancements/upgrades, diagnosing and resolving issues related to programming and creating reports for leadership.
Reply to and manage trouble tickets pertaining to the core system.
Assist with general systems/PC trouble tickets if the IT Administrator is unavailable.
Assist with the deployment and installation of new hardware and software, including network upgrades.
Assist in diagnosing and resolving network hardware and software issues for both end users and the network.
Effectively maintain network communication connectivity and network servers.
Assist with the maintenance of Family Financial related security systems, such as cameras, door and key fob access.
Effectively assist in the installation of network upgrades and applicable software.
Provide support to Family Financial team members on certain modules obtained from key business partners.
Perform project management duties on projects delegated by the IT Administrator.
Coordinate with the IT Administrator and other business units on new product releases and deployment strategies.
Assist the IT Administrator in evaluating new features, functionalities, tools, etc.
Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with members and staff to positively resolve issues and conflicts.

Qualifications
Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent. Training in computer hardware, software, and basic networking.
Required Knowledge:Understanding of Credit Union operations and information needs. Thorough understanding of programming and information systems. Knowledge of business software applications.
Experience Required: One or more years of related experience, preferably in a financial environment.
Starting Wage Range: $45,000 - $47,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Learn, understand, support, and promote the FFCU vision, mission, values, and strategic direction, as well as its products and services;
Discuss policy and strategic direction for the CEO on behalf of the members with guidance by the Directors;
Provide valuable feedback and insights to the needs and wants of members;
Report to members at the annual meeting on the overall status of the credit union.
Core responsibilities and expectations:
The FFCU Board of Directors will identify requirements for Associate Directors, including the selection and vetting of Associate Directors.
Associate Directors are subject to the same confidentiality and conflict of interest standards applicable to the Board of Directors.
Serving as an Associate Director does not guarantee consideration for a position on the Board of Directors. Election or appointment to the Board of Directors will be subject to the terms of the Bylaws of FFCU.
Within a reasonable time of being appointed as an Associate Director, the Associate Director should have at least a working familiarity with basic finance and accounting principals, including the ability to read and understand the FFCU balance sheet and income statement, and to ask, as appropriate, substantive questions of our management, regulators, or auditors.
Engage and actively participate in Board of Director meetings and activities.
Attend monthly meetings of the Board of Directors, and participate in committee meetings, if desired, to provide insight. Associate Directors will not be allowed to be an active committee member as committees are only to be filled by the Board of Directors.
Associate Directors in attendance will not count toward a quorum of the Board of Directors. Associate Directors may not call a special meeting of the Board of Directors on their own and must follow all provisions set forth in the FFCU Bylaws. Associate Directors are not eligible to fill officer roles within the Board of Directors.
Associate Directors will be allowed up to two (2) excused absences during each term. Meeting participation is a significant part of the position, as experience is gained through attendance.
Associate Directors are also expected to take training courses as directed by the Board of Directors. Training costs will be paid by FFCU in accordance with FFCU policies.
Eligibility:
In order to be considered for an Associate Director position, an individual must be:
18 years of age or older at the beginning of their term;
A member in good standing of FFCU;
Able and willing to devote time and attention to preparation for and participation in board meetings, committee meetings, special projects and assignments as determined by the Board of Directors;
A good communicator with interpersonal skills that facilitate good working relationships with the Board of Directors and senior management of FFCU;
Of the highest moral and ethical character and exhibit independence and objectivity in representing the best interests of the members of FFCU;
Willing to sacrifice personal feelings for the good of FFCU;
Dedicated to the mission of FFCU; and,
Passionate about service to FFCU and the credit union movement.
Current employees of FFCU are ineligible to serve as an Associate Director.
Number and Term: Up to three (3) Associate Directors may serve simultaneously. Associate Directors will serve at the pleasure of the Board of Directors and may be appointed for renewable one-year terms, with a three-year term limit. The Board of Directors has no deadline to fill these positions, meaning the position(s) can sit vacant for an indeterminate period of time as necessary.
Selection Process: The Board of Directors may rely on management to help select Associate Directors but the final decision will be made by the Board of Directors. Management may advertise Associate Director positions among the general membership of FFCU through statement messages, branch notices, email messages, and announcements at the annual meeting of FFCU members, as directed by the Board of Directors.
An application must be completed and submitted for review to the Board of Directors. Application reviews will be noted in the minutes of the Board of Directors’ meetings, and applicants will be notified of the decision of the Board of Directors by the CEO of FFCU.
Removal: The Board of Directors reserves the right to remove an Associate Director at any time, for any reason, at its sole discretion.
Associate Directors who close their membership with FFCU will be deemed to have automatically resigned from their position as an Associate Director. Associate Directors who cause a loss to FFCU, have a known conflict of interest, are unable to be bonded for all activities of FFCU, refuse to sign the Oath of Office and/or willfully violate the Oath of Office, or do not meet the expectations as laid out in this policy may be removed by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
Notification of the removal as an Associate Director will be provided in writing from the Chair of the Board of Directors or CEO of FFCU.

INTENT AND FUNCTION OF JOB DESCRIPTIONS
