Dear Credit Union Member:

Thank you for your interest in running for a position on the Board of Directors of FFCU. FFCU bylaws allow candidates to be placed on the ballot by the Nominating Committee or by petition.

There are 2 positions up for re-election in 2024 for the FFCU Board Of Directors. The 2 nominees selected by the nominating committee are Kris Collee and John Taranko.

Directors are expected to actively participate in board meetings by preparing in advance for the meetings and regularly attending. There are typically 12 meetings per year. They are currently scheduled the third Wednesday of each month at FFCU’s Main office. A board packet is distributed approximately one week prior to each meeting for review.

If you choose to submit a petition, please complete the following steps:

Step 1: Use the Petition Signature Form to record the signatures of at least one percent (1%) of the total membership who support you as a candidate for a position on the Board of Directors.

Note: Petitions must include all of the requested information for each primary member supporting your candidacy. Joint members and co-borrowers are not eligible to sign the petition.

Note: The total membership reported for this election cycle is 16,500, thus the minimum signatures required equals 165.

Step 2: Your petition, consisting of the following documents, should be returned to FFCU Main branch or mailed to FFCU; Attn: Nominating Committee; 3575 Henry Street, Muskegon MI 49441.

◻Completed Petition Signature Forms – print extra copies as needed
◻Signed Application & Agreement to Serve

Note: All documents should be received in one package no later than January 28, 2024.

The Nominating Committee, consisting of current board members Kevin Huss, Starr Evans, and Larue Layton will review all applications and interview prospective, qualified candidates.
